NATURE AND ROLE OF VIRGO

Virgo is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation established to promote community development, social empowerment, economic participation, and sustainable development.

Virgo shall serve as the project-initiating and coordinating body, responsible for identifying community needs, developing project concepts, mobilising resources, establishing partnerships, and overseeing the implementation of projects undertaken under its name.

The organisation may initiate and coordinate projects in areas including, but not limited to, infrastructure development, skills development, employment creation, community services, environmental protection, agriculture, technology, and other activities consistent with its non-profit objectives.

Where a project requires commercial investment, specialised technical services, financing, or participation by individual members or external partners, Virgo may enter into appropriate Memoranda of Understanding, partnership agreements, project agreements, or other legally recognised arrangements defining the respective responsibilities, contributions, ownership, risks, benefits, and obligations of the parties.

Virgo shall maintain its non-profit character, and any income or resources received by the organisation shall be applied towards achieving its stated objectives and projects rather than distributed as profits to members.
